At 100 miles, The Hemi will cover over 6400 feet of climbing while topping out at 7300 ft. Starting at the McNeil Ranch at Peaceful Valley, The Hemi starts out with some fun double track road leading out of the Ranch for about 2 miles before entering the serene gravel roads of Elbert County. The beauty of this course is you get to ride on the roads of Eastern Elbert County, then come back into the property, via a short stellar single track section, for a scenic tour prior to getting to the lap point where you can store food, gear, say hi to the fam, and whatever else you need before heading out to the west. While you’ll get wide open power sections, expect some climbing that will test the legs over this distance. Wind in May east of the Colorado front range? Yeah it’s likely. 4 aid stations will be available to serve your hydration and nutritional needs, and worked by a great group of volunteers. Oh yes, one other thing, The Hemi includes an equal payout $5,000 cash purse in the Open category! See below for details.
